All Eastman mandolins at Gianna's have the following features:
  • Completely hand carved by trained luthiers, not factory workers
  • Tone bar bracing
  • Bound ebony fingerboard
  • Bound headstock except 500 level
  • Traditional low-profile frets
  • 13 7/8" scale
  • Oval hole models have short neck, F hole models have long neck
  • Slightly radiused fingerboard with three extension variations: fretted, scooped, and
    no extension
  • Completely hand varnished, most but not all overcoated with nitrocellulose lacquer
    for increased wear resistance
  • Classic/Sunburst finishes have a classic body with sunburst front
  • Fitted ebony adjustable bridge
  • 1 3/32" nominal bone nut
  • Cast tailpiece
  • Binding on 800 series has W/B/W on the ribs as well (boxed)
  • D'Addario J74 or J75 strings, other strings by request
