  Rivers opened the old frontier
Gianna's Appalachian Rivers series honors the
watery highways that opened the first frontier to
traders, settlers, and soldiers.  These fine
handcrafted violins have a woody, clear, singing
tone that longs to echo above Linville Gorge or in
the Delaware water gap.

Fiddlers at the Smoky Mountain Fiddlers
Convention inspired The Appalachian™ series
through their admiration of the best of the
European imports from the late 19th and early
20th Centuries.  These violins have a dark, rich,
full tone and play very easily now that they are
broken in.  The Appalachian™ series is ideal for
players seeking smooth power and supple
response, but with the reserve power strong
players seek.  Our setup can bring out classical
elegance or dark-toned fiddling power.

This is an awesome violin for the price.
I've played violins that are well thought of
that cost 50-90% more and this violin is
probably equal to or better than any of
them.  It's got more power/reserve, as
much if not more tonal range, and is more
responsive.

Response, by the way, really matters in my
opinion.  Fast response means that the
violin starts sounding quickly in response to
bowing.
